Extended Timetable at Keighley Boxing Club

Keighley Amateur Boxing Club, founded in 1972 and based at Keighley Business Centre on South Street, has announced exciting new additions to its weekly timetable.

Following the success of a four-week pilot course for people living with Parkinson’s, the club is now making these sessions a permanent fixture. Every Thursday at 10.30am, participants can enjoy a friendly, energising boxing-based fitness class designed to support mobility, confidence, and wellbeing. Each session concludes with a warm-down and refreshments, offering time to relax and connect with others.

In addition, a new over-50s session has been introduced at 12.30pm on Thursdays. This class is tailored to help participants rediscover strength, boost fitness, and build confidence through boxing-inspired exercises.

The club continues to run open sessions for anyone aged 10 and above, held three evenings a week from 6pm to 7pm.

Head Coach Steve Kennedy said: “Our club has been part of Keighley’s community since 1972. We hope that these new sessions will encourage more people to get involved, while supporting those living with health conditions or experiencing social isolation. Boxing is a fantastic way to improve both physical and mental wellbeing, and we’re proud to offer opportunities that benefit the Keighley community for many years to come.”
